Wallichi Pods (Pack of 50)

Schima wallichii is an evergreen, medium-sized to large tree with a dense crown, capable of growing to around 47 metres in height, but more commonly 10 - 15 metres tall[303, 325]. The bole is cylindrical, branchless for up to 25 metres, with a diameter up to 125 (occasionally 250) cm, and steep buttresses that are rarely up to 1.8 metres high[303].

The tree is valued for its wood, which is gathered from the wild and traded. The tree is also used medicinally and is a source of tannins and oil[303]. It is sometimes cultivated as a shade tree and is used as a pioneer species in reforestation projects[303].

The fruits of the evergreen tree "Schima Willichi" Origionating from India, these pods are a great addition to any natural setup given the look of seeds which have fallen to the bottom of a natural riverbed. 

Great for scale on a nano blackwater setup or can be used as a forest floor for vivarium setups. 

Please note due to how light these items are they may still float even after boiling, please allow extended times before they will water log and sink. Boiling for longer periods or pre-soaking items can speed up the process.
