Snowflake - Natural Shrimp Food (50g)

Introducing our new range of "Natural" foods for freshwater shrimp. 

"Snow Flake Shrimp Food" is a great food for shrimp. It provides a growth media for mycelia.  Mycelia is the vegetative part of a fungi. The Mycelia contains proteins, amio acids, fats, and other beneficial nutrients for shrimp.  

The soybean hull is also known as the seed coat. On a dry weight basis, hulls constitute about 8% of the total seed, depending on variety and the seed size. In general, the larger the seed, the lower the proportion of hulls. The hull of a dry mature soybean contains about 7–8% moisture. Dry soy hulls contain approximately 85.7% carbohydrates, 9% protein, 4.3% ash, and 1% lipids. Kikuchi et al. studied the chemical and physical properties of soybean cell wall polysaccharides and their changes during cooking. They found that the soy cell wall contains about 30% pectin, 50% hemicellulose, and 20% cellulose. 

This food is a fantastic vacation food as it will not pollute the water and continuously provide good bio film for the shrimp to eat!

Great value for money! Once the hull is submerged within the water, watch it grow into snowflake like flakes. It's facinating to watch!
