Indian Almond Leaf (Catappa) - (18-20cm) (Pack of 10)
Catappa leaves also known as "Indian Almond Leaves" come from the Terminalia catappa tree. They have chemical healing properties which may naturally help fight off mild bacterial, fungal or parasitic infections. Therefore, these leaves are great for many different types of livestock including bettas, shrimp, community fish and more.
In nature, Terminalia catappa leaves will fall into rivers and other bodies of water and will tint the water a rich brown 'tea' color as they break down. This is due to chemical compounds found within the leaves called tannins.
Additional to the smaller "Nano" leaf we are please to offer these larger sized leaves.

These items are sustainably collected from Ruwan and his family run business within Sri Lanka. The leaves are locally collected in the rural woodlands, hand washed and sun dried prior to sale.
*Although every measure has been taken to ensure items are free from polutants and chemicals as with any natural item this is not a guarentee. Proper preperation prior to adding them to any aquarium with livestock is recommended.
